: an get. Thanks for your help!

: : What did you use as a wormer? Corid doesn't work as a wormer at all.

: :: I am sorry, I should have looked at my goat records before posting. They tested positive for coccidia and that is what the corid was used for. I am really concerned about the two not gaining weight. They look almost concave below the spine in the back end. Maybe those two have not cleared up from the coccidia? Any thoughts?

Coccidiosis doesn't cause much weight loss. It kills with scours and dehydration. All goats have some degree of coccidia. It's just harder on the young. It's good you treated for that but I don't think you've addressed the real problem. They still sound wormy to me. If you havn't wormed do so now and every two months hereafter. I'd increase that to monthly in wet areas or periods of heavy rain. The abcess may very well be something other than CL but only your vet can test for sure. Lots of other things will cause abcesses and the location for yours is not like CL. Your goat might have been stuck with a thorn or something. I'd drain it and then flush it out with Hyrogen Peroxide and 7% Iodine and keep only that goat separated until it heals.
