I bought a goat a couple months ago that was already bred, she just had her kids yesterday at 11am. This is a terrible time for her to be having kids ( I wouldn't have bred her to have them in August personaly)Because it is noon here and already 93 degrees. the heat index is suppose to be over 105 today. They are in a pen that has a tarp over it so it is shaded. Here is my question, I am afraid that they are going to die with this heat and was wondering since they are only 24 hours old if taking them inside for a few hours during the hottest part of the day will cause their mom to reject them or cause bonding problems, or cause them problems etc. I don't want to do more harm than good by it. I do not want to end up bottle feeding them. Or do you think they will be ok in this heat. (they are in shade) Has anyone else had kids in this kind of weather? Advice please!!
